See what our clients have to say about their experience with us!
(Spoiler alert: We’re amazing.)
Christine has shifted my perspective on what's possible for my body. The changes I've experienced since we started working together have been gradual, noticeable, and have grown my confidence to trust both myself and the process as I get stronger. Christine is knowledgeable, patient, and simply gets it. Trust them and follow their lead - it works! I'm continually amazed at the progress and can't wait to see what happens next. Book Christine as fast as you can!

When I began working with Christine I was struggling with feeling disconnected from my body and generally unfamiliar with the state of it. I spend all day sitting on video calls with clients and had chronic low back aches. Christine's thoughtful, affirming, and well-informed partnership transformed my relationship with my body. Through gentle movement and stretching practices, I've learned to communicate with my aches and pains for the first time in my life.
I'm now someone who stretches in bed before getting up in the morning and no longer feel like my ankles don't work until midday. I recently tripped on one of my kids' toys and landed hard into a bookshelf. The amazing thing is I had no more injuries than some bruises. I wasn't even that sore the next day. I fully believe I would have broken a bone if not for all the stretching and modality work with Christine.
I'm grateful for Christine's passion and wisdom. Their guidance and friendship are an integral part of my own self-partnership and care.

Christine is absolutely fantastic to work with. I was the classic story: chronic dieter who only knew fitness as a way to control my weight. After I stopped dieting, I also stopped exercising. Now getting back into it, I'm learning to love moving my body. They tailor each session to my goals and what my body is capable of doing. I feel like my relationship with exercise is finally starting to heal. I'm excited to work out! I give major credit to Christine (and Remy, one of their adorable dogs) for why I want to show up each week.

It's rare to find the combination of both kindnesses and knowledge that both Lore and Christine have. I have never felt as welcome and as heard as I have been in any class or discussion with them. I've learned a tremendous amount from them both.

Participating in classes at PFM was a pivotal decision for me. There is so much pressure and toxicity associated with movement in our society, I was convinced any commitment to movement separate from this negativity was impossible. Then I met Lore and Christine! PFM creates a space that is healing and empowering, both physically and emotionally. I'm so grateful for the work these folks do.

I have taken classes and worked with both Christine and Lore for a few years now. I can honestly say that I have learned so much more from them about bodies and movement than in the previous 10+ years working with a number of other professionals. They approach movement with curiosity and invite their students to do the same in a judgment-free zone. Lore and Christine are lifelong learners and are constantly honing their crafts of teaching and working with the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. Their ability to offer accommodations for anyone to access movement on the spot always astounds me. The virtual classes they have offered during the pandemic have helped me make it through, two of them being Mindfulness with Lore and Christine’s Sunday movement class. There is no place like PFM and no other teachers like them!

I had been sedentary for a long time and was so nervous to get back into movement, I had no clue where to start. I was terrified of traditional personal training and the stress of being weighed, measured and pushed to lose weight. After some searching I was so happy to find Positive Force Movement. I have been working with Christine for about 10 months, and recently starting working with Lore as well. I am so incredibly grateful for both of them and what they do. They provide so much more than your standard exercise program. They provide a safe space to learn about movement and explore how your body can move, and how it likes to move. I have learned more about my body in these last 10 months than I have in my 29 years of life. I have started to appreciate my body as it is now, and have finally rejected the idea that I need to lose weight in order to be healthy and happy. I cannot say enough good things about Positive Force Movement and what Christine and Lore have done for me physically and mentally!

I used to do 1:1 sessions with Christine while I lived in NY. She's great! She's pushed me to work out hard even though I may complain but it was worth it. I also miss doing kickboxing with them! Felt so energized and empowered!

As a queer, non-binary, bi-racial polyamorous person, I am used to feeling like I can only bring certain parts of me to the table. Any class with Christine and Lore is a place where I can confidently bring my full self, knowing that each and every piece of who I am will be affirmed and celebrated. I’ve never felt comfortable in a gym environment before, but the moment I stepped into the PFM space, it felt like home… a place where instructors who I see my own values and identities reflected in guide their students through holistic experiences at their own pace. Words can’t describe my gratitude for the PFM community.

I began working with Lore about a year ago at the age of 69. I had just been diagnosed with a completely torn rotator cuff muscle and surgery was recommended. Lore assigned exercises to strengthen the shoulder area and today I am completely pain free with no need for surgery. They listen carefully to me and encourage me to listen carefully to my body. I had never done this before and it has been revelatory.

Christine and Lore have cultivated a community through their willingness to create a "brave space." One where I could come in just as I was and dig into the work that is I needed to do. I have a history of treating movement as punishment to reach a specific weight or to make up for eating something that was high in calories. This is one of the first times in my life that I am embracing the body I am in. This is not a typical gym as I was able to address body, mind and spirit in the process. Positive Force Movement is a collaboration not just between Lore and Christine but also the LGBTQ+ community at large. They are setting the ground to shift the pendulum for standards of practice, care, values and ethics.

I can't say enough good things about working with Christine as a movement coach. They are incredibly knowledgeable about what they do, and working with them is not only informative and beneficial, but also fun! They listen to any boundaries or limitations you may have and really make you feel heard. I love working with them!

"I worked with Lore in a small virtual class setting recently. I was blown away by how much I learned about not only my own body, but about the capitalistic and misogynistic systems/structures that are in place that keep us from expressing ourselves fully. The conversation was wonderfully facilitated and I felt comfortable both sharing my experiences when I felt up to it, and also remaining quiet when I wasn't comfortable adding anything. Lore was honoring of everyone's genders/pronouns/etc. and even though they were a stranger to me when I signed up for the class, I immediately felt like I was being held by a loving friend. Christine also contributed some thoughts and stories to the class and I appreciated Christine's positive energy and fun presence. I just signed up for another upcoming class here and I'm confident it will also be a great experience.
